End Date: Tuesday March 21, 2023
*Timeline is subject to change.
The City of Toronto is modifying and upgrading the storm and sanitary sewer system in your area in order to reduce surface and basement flooding.
Due to the depth and nature of the sanitary sewer construction work on Christine Crescent the road will be closed between houses numbered 18 to 22, effective 7:00 a.m. on Friday March 17, 2023, to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 21, 2023.
Motorists are reminded to abide by traffic/construction signs posted in local areas to ensure the safe travel of all local road users, pedestrians, and cyclists. This project is part of the Council-approved 2020 Basement Flooding Protection Program to improve the water distribution system; renew our aging infrastructure and reduce the risk of sewer collapse or blockages that cause sewer backups and flooding.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION
Traffic Management: Christine Crescent between houses numbered 18 to 22 will be fully closed to outside traffic.
Pedestrians: Sidewalks will be kept open for pedestrian use. When work is taking place on the sidewalk, signage will be placed to provide information about which side of the road to use.
Work Hours: Work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
