Cheers to a Successful 7th Climate Action Roundtable!

Last week, my office co-hosted the 7th Climate Action Roundtable in collaboration with Climate Neighbours North York. We had an incredible discussion on 5 key themes:

• Smart Commuting and Active Transportation

• Reducing Waste and Plastics

• Community and Corporate Accountability (“Bring Your Own Ideas”)

• Improving Indoor Air Quality and Energy Efficiency

• Growing Food and Pollinator Gardens

• Supporting Bike Lanes and Safe Cycling

Thank you to all the fantastic organizations that joined us with a table: Climate Neighbours North York, Seniors for Climate Action Now!, Repair Cafe Willowdale, North York Cycles, Parkview Neighbourhood Garden, Climate Fast, Climate Fresk, Clean Indoor Air Toronto, TTC Riders, and Professor Pricklethorn!

My office has been using our Willowdale Action Hub for more frequent discussions on topics such as traffic calming and new policy ideas. I am excited to introduce a Climate Action project page to bring these amazing roundtable discussions online. This will allow everyone to engage in ideas that they may not have been able to jump into last week. I encourage you to sign up and join the conversation!
