The City of Toronto is modifying and upgrading the storm and sanitary sewer system in your area in order to reduce surface and basement flooding. Due to the depth and nature of the sanitary sewer construction work on Finch Avenue West and Altamont Road, the road will be closed at the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Altamont Road effective 7:00 a.m. on Monday July 10, 2023, to 7:00 p.m. on Friday July 14, 2023.
Motorists are reminded to abide by traffic/construction signs posted in locaal reas to ensure the safe travel of all local road users, pedestrians, and cyclists. This project is part of the Council-approved 2022 Basement Flooding Protection Program to improve the water distribution system; renew our aging infrastructure and reduce the risk of sewer collapse or blockages that cause sewer backups and flooding.
WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE CONSTRUCTION
Work Hours: Work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
